PaperTrack Functionality
|
Searching
|
| The real power of PaperTrack is in its search
capabilities. |
With PaperTrack you have the ability to:
 | Search across departments for a/all document (s) |
 | Search for all the documents in a department |
 | Search among only those documents you select |
Of course, your security permissions at the department level, group
level and/or the document level may limit your searching abilities.
Once you select your document (s), PaperTrack will list those index
fields that are common to the documents that you have selected. You may
then enter the criteria (data) to further define your searches:
 | Use an 'Equals' search and/or |
 | Use a greater than, less than, etc. search and/or |
 | Use wild cards in your search |
Click here for a full screen view of a
search. |

Viewing
|
| What would PaperTrack be without the proper viewer. Once
you have entered your criteria and selected the "find" button, PaperTrack
takes over and does the searching for you. |
| PaperTrack will display a "Search Return List" This
isn't just a list of document file names or folders, that's for much
simpler programs.
PaperTrack returns a list showing each document, and its index field
values. These values are sortable. You can re-sort the
list in ascending or descending order. (All the invoices by vendor, in
December, sort by purchase order number, last number first or first number
first).
Is it complicated ? No, just click on the top of the column
that has the index field you want to sort by. That's it. Click again to
re-sort them.
|
| Display the index field values on your search
return list, then re-sort the list in ascending or descending order. (All
invoices by vendor, sort by purchase order number) |
| With our viewer, you can view over 90 different
file formats (in their native format!) |
